WHO WE ARE

Fryerns Community Centre is the brand name of Basildon Community Association, a registered charity providing the local Fryerns and Basildon people with community facilities and space to host activities and sessions such as playgroup, sessions for older people including bingo and fitness sessions for children and young people including martial arts and Judo.

The registered charity number of Basildon Community Association is 301243.

The charity, inclusive of the community centre is overseen by a committee of local people who meet reguarly. 

THE HISTORY

Fryerns Community Centre has been at the heart of the community since it was built in 1963, and if the walls could talk the tales they would tell of the parties, celebrations, activities and groups they have seen over the past 60 years. 

From birth until death, every milestone has been celebrated inside our four walls. From baby showers, christening parties, children attending play group sessions or one of the many children’s activities to birthdays, weddings, anniversary’s and wakes to say the final goodbye.
